It’s that magical time of year again – the sea breeze, sundresses, sand between your toes, and your favorite ‘Gansett on the beach. These are all the signs that we need to get started on the 2015 Hi Neighbor Calendar featuring the lovely ‘Gansett Girls!
Each year we team-up with Providence Pinup and Suite Tart to ask YOU to be in our next Hi Neighbor Calendar. All you need to do is send us your photo of choice and a quick line of why you want to be a ‘Gansett Girl by June 18th. You’ll then be placed in a contest where fans, friends and family can vote for you and their favorites. The top 18 girls with the most votes will then head to Suite Tart in Providence for their chance to be one of 2015’s ‘Gansett Girls.
12 winners will then take part in the calendar photo shoot in August, complete with pinup style hair, makeup and clothes at Suite Tart in Providence and provided by Providence Pinup. Girls must be able to travel to Providence for the one-day shoot at their own expense and be 21 years of age or older. You’ll get to keep the photos for your own use and we’ll pick the best ones to be a month in the calendar! Awesome, right?!
Providence Pinup and Suite Tart will join Chifferobe at the Providence Public Library .
Lulu Locks will be enchanting the crowd with a wildly mad photo set. What kind of party would it be without a Tea Party.
Don’t be late! We’re quite certain
you won’t want to miss out on this literary adventure…
There are some very peculiar goings on at the Library these days! A particularly curious cast of characters has been assembling lately, as Providence Public Library prepares to present WONDERLAND – Through the Looking Glass.
In fact, WONDERLAND is the Library’s 2014 Gala, our annual benefit event to support the PPL’s important educational and cultural programs and services in the community. For those who have not yet experienced the Library’s unique and exquisitely restored spaces (as well as those who have!), this occasion will provide the perfect opportunity to invite friends and supporters to take part in what promises to be the event of the season, while enjoying sumptuous food and exceptional hospitality provided by our partner Russell Morin Fine Catering.
The adventure begins at 7:00 pm and carries on until Midnight, for those up to late evening madness! Guests who “drop in” will experience our stunning library transformed in a fanciful recreation of one of the most enduring literary classics — Lewis Carroll’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland — where a whimsical cast of characters will bring riotous folly to life with live music and performances, including opportunities for guest participation! Plan to leave this world behind for a few hours of fun and frivolity…not to mention some of the best “Eat Me’s” and “Drink Me’s” in town!
